MOBIGRON

Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your information.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how MobiGron handles information related to our website, mobile application and smart agriculture systems.

1. Introduction

At MobiGron, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information you share with us. We provide smart agriculture solutions that help farmers and businesses monitor and manage agricultural systems using connected devices and a mobile application. Our products include hydroponic automation, dryer automation, irrigation automation, soil monitoring and other agricultural monitoring and control solutions.

This Privacy Policy explains in simple terms what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, how we protect it and what choices you have regarding your information. This policy applies when you use our website, mobile application, connected agricultural devices, online dashboard or any other service provided by us.

We aim to handle your information responsibly and in accordance with the applicable privacy and data-protection laws of Sri Lanka.

2. Information We Collect

When you use our services, we may ask for information such as your name, telephone number, email address, company or farm name and other contact information. We may also collect information that you provide when you purchase our products, request installation, contact our support team or ask us to maintain your system.

When you create an account in our mobile application, we may collect information needed to create and manage your account. This can include your name, email address, telephone number, username and account settings. This information helps us identify your account and provide you with the services you have requested.

We may also collect information about the agricultural equipment connected to our system. For example, we may receive information about the temperature, humidity, soil moisture, pH, EC, water level, water flow, pump status, motor status, fan status, valve status and other measurements supported by your system.

The type of information collected depends on the products and sensors installed at your location. A hydroponic system may collect information about pH, EC, water temperature and nutrient-related conditions. An irrigation system may collect information about soil moisture, water level, pump and valve operation. A dryer system may collect temperature, humidity and fan or heater information. A soil monitoring system may collect soil moisture, temperature, pH, EC and other supported environmental information.

This agricultural information is mainly used to help you monitor and manage your agricultural operations.

3. Why We Collect Your Information

We collect information because it is necessary to provide and improve our services. For example, we use your account information to provide access to the mobile application and to communicate with you about your system.

We use information from your connected devices to show you the condition of your agricultural system through the application. This may allow you to see information such as temperature, humidity, soil moisture, pH, EC, water levels and equipment status.

We may also use this information to help operate your automated system. Depending on the product you have installed, the system may automatically control equipment such as pumps, motors, fans, valves or other connected devices according to the settings you have selected.

We may use information to send you notifications when something requires your attention. For example, the application may notify you when a temperature reaches a selected level, when soil moisture becomes low, when a device stops responding or when another condition that you have configured occurs.

We may also use information to provide customer support, identify problems, maintain our systems, improve our products and develop new features.

4. Why We Ask for Your Location

Our mobile application may ask you to allow access to your location. We ask for this permission mainly because we use your location to provide weather information for your area.

When location access is enabled, the application can determine the appropriate area for which weather information should be displayed. Depending on the weather information available to us, the application may show you the current temperature, weather condition, date, local time, wind speed, wind direction, humidity, rainfall and weather forecast.

This information can be useful when managing agricultural activities because weather conditions can affect irrigation, drying, crop management and other farming activities.

For example, if you are using our irrigation system, seeing the current temperature and weather conditions may help you understand the environmental conditions around your farm. If you are using our dryer system, weather information may help you understand the conditions outside the drying area. The information can also be displayed together with information from your agricultural sensors.

5. What Happens If You Do Not Allow Location Access

You can choose whether to allow the application to access your location. If you do not allow location access, some weather-related features may not work automatically.

For example, the application may not be able to automatically determine the location for which it should display temperature, weather, wind or forecast information.

Where our application supports it, you may be able to manually select or enter your farm, greenhouse, dryer or installation location instead.

Not allowing location access does not necessarily stop your agricultural equipment from working. For example, an irrigation system that has already been configured may continue to operate according to its settings, depending on how the particular system has been installed and configured.

6. How We Use Your Location

We use location information primarily to provide weather and environmental information relevant to your area. We may also use the location of an agricultural installation to help us provide installation, maintenance and technical support.

We do not need to continuously track where you are simply because you use our application. Our intention is to use location information only when it is needed for a service that you have requested or when it is necessary to support your agricultural system.

If a future feature requires continuous or background location access, we will explain the purpose of that feature and request the appropriate permission.

7. Weather Information

Weather information displayed in our application may come from third-party weather information providers. The information may include temperature, weather conditions, wind speed, wind direction, humidity, rainfall and forecasts.

Weather information is provided to help you understand the environmental conditions around your agricultural system. It is provided for information and general operational support and should not be treated as guaranteed or official weather information.

Weather information can sometimes be delayed, unavailable or inaccurate because weather conditions change and because the information may depend on external weather services, internet connectivity and available weather stations.

For important agricultural, safety or business decisions, you should use appropriate professional or official weather information where necessary.

8. Information From Your Agricultural Devices

Our connected devices may send information to our platform so that you can view your agricultural system through the mobile application or dashboard.

For example, a hydroponic system may send pH, EC, temperature, water level and pump information. An irrigation system may send soil moisture, water level, pump and valve information. A dryer system may send temperature, humidity and fan information. A soil monitoring system may send soil moisture, temperature, pH, EC and other supported measurements.

We use this information to provide the features of the system you purchased or subscribed to. It may also help us identify problems and provide technical support.

The accuracy of agricultural information depends on the sensors, installation, calibration, environmental conditions and condition of the equipment. Sensor information should therefore be considered monitoring information and should not automatically be treated as laboratory-certified measurements.

9. Information About Equipment You Control

When you use the application to control your agricultural equipment, we may keep a record of the actions made through the application.

For example, the system may record when a user starts or stops a pump, changes an irrigation schedule, turns a fan on or off or changes a system setting.

We keep this information to help provide the service, understand system activity, investigate problems and protect the security of your account.

10. Information About Your Mobile Device

When you use our mobile application, we may collect some basic information about your mobile device, such as the type of device you are using, the operating system, the application version and information about application errors.

This information helps us make the application work correctly, identify problems and improve the user experience.

We may also use information required to send notifications to your mobile device, such as notifications about your agricultural system or important service messages.

11. Information You Give Us When You Contact Us

When you contact us for support or other services, we may keep information about your communication with us. This may include your name, contact information, information about your device, photographs or videos you send to us, and details about the problem you are experiencing.

We use this information to understand your request, provide support and maintain a record of the service provided to you.

12. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide the services you have requested. This includes operating your account, connecting your devices, displaying agricultural information, providing weather information, controlling equipment and sending notifications.

We may also use information to maintain and improve our products and services. For example, information about device performance may help us identify common problems and improve the reliability of our systems.

We may use information to protect our systems and customers from unauthorized access, misuse, fraud and other security problems.

We may also use information when we are required to do so by law or when it is necessary to protect our legal rights.

13. Who May Have Access to Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to other companies as a business of selling customer information.

We may share information with people or companies that help us provide our services. For example, we may use companies that provide cloud hosting, weather information, messaging, email, notifications, application services or technical infrastructure.

We may also allow our authorized employees or technicians to access information when they need it to install, maintain, repair or support your system.

Where we use another company to help provide our services, we expect that company to handle information responsibly and only for the purposes for which it has been provided.

We may also provide information to government authorities or other parties where we are legally required to do so.

14. Weather Service Providers

Because our application uses your location to provide weather information, some location information may need to be sent to a weather information provider.

For example, the application may send the relevant location or area to a weather service so that it can return the appropriate temperature, wind and weather information.

We aim to share only the information that is reasonably necessary to provide this feature.

15. Cloud Services

Our application and connected devices use online services to store and process information and to allow your devices and application to communicate with each other.

These services may store information such as your account details, device information, agricultural measurements and system history.

We use appropriate service providers and security measures to protect this information. Some service providers may operate their systems in countries outside Sri Lanka. Where this happens, we will handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.

16. How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration or disclosure.

We use measures such as account protection, access controls, secure communication, system monitoring and other security measures appropriate to our services.

However, no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Because our services use the internet and connected devices, there is always some risk associated with online systems.

We ask customers to protect their account passwords and not share them with unauthorized people.

17. Your Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your account information and password secure. If you believe that someone has accessed your account without permission, you should contact us as soon as possible.

If you operate the system for a business or organization, you should also make sure that employees or other users only have the access they need and that access is removed when someone no longer needs to use the system.

18. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless we are required or permitted by law to keep it for a longer period.

For example, we may keep customer information while you have an active account or service relationship with us. We may keep warranty, payment, service and support information for an appropriate period after the service has ended because we may need it for legal, accounting, warranty or business purposes.

Information from your agricultural devices may be kept for a period that allows you to view historical information and reports. The exact period may depend on the product or service you use.

When information is no longer needed, we may delete it or remove information that can identify you.

19. Your Agricultural Data

The information generated by your agricultural operations, such as soil moisture, pH, EC, temperature, humidity, irrigation information and equipment activity, is used to provide the services to you.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you continue to have your rights in information relating to your agricultural operations.

We may use information in a form that does not identify you or your business for purposes such as improving our products, understanding general system performance, research, product development and creating statistics.

20. Information Used for Product Improvement

We may study information about how our systems operate so that we can improve our products and services.

For example, we may look at general information about sensor performance, equipment failures, system usage or environmental conditions to identify ways to make our products more reliable.

Where information is used for broader analysis, we will seek to remove or reduce information that could unnecessarily identify individual customers.

21. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information.

These rights may include asking us what personal information we hold about you, asking us to correct information that is incorrect, asking us to delete information where applicable, asking us to limit certain uses of your information, objecting to certain processing and withdrawing consent where the processing is based on your consent.

Some rights may have legal exceptions or limitations. We will handle requests according to the applicable law.

22. How to Ask About Your Personal Information

If you want to ask about the personal information we hold about you, request a correction or make another privacy request, please contact us using the details below.

Email: Aggentech@gmail.com

When you make a request, we may ask for reasonable information to confirm your identity. This is necessary to prevent someone else from accessing or changing your information without permission.

23. Children's Information

Our products and services are designed mainly for farmers, agricultural businesses, organizations and other users who are able to use the services responsibly.

We do not intentionally collect children's personal information for purposes unrelated to our services.

If we become aware that we have collected information from a child in circumstances where appropriate permission is required, we will take reasonable steps to address the situation in accordance with applicable law.

24. Marketing Messages

We may contact you about your account, products, services, installation, maintenance, warranty, system alerts and important service information.

We may also send information about new products, services or promotions where permitted by law.
